ALISO VIEJO – A shooting that left two dead and two more injured Thursday afternoon shattered the calm of a normally quiet city and put a middle school on a brief lockdown.
A man deputies believe to be the shooter remains at large.
The incident began when the Orange County Sheriff’s Department received reports of shots fired after an argument around 2:50 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 12.
The call came from inside The Hamptons, a residential community of single-family homes on Ashbury Court near West Huntington Lane in Aliso Viejo, said sheriff’s Lt. Fred Thompson. Thompson told City News Service that the shooting was reported at 6 Ashbury Court.
A man and a woman were found shot to death and two men in their 50s were injured, authorities said.
